Enma is capable of using something called a Dying Will Flame, a form of condensed energy capable of various feats depending on the user's flame type ( he is also one of the few users who could enter Hyper Dying Will Mode, a state which removes internal limiters instead of the external ones, thus releasing one's hidden awareness ). Enma possesses one of the Seven Flames of the Earth, the Earth flame, which allows him to manipulate gravity around himself, other people, or objects. He can at will move them, slow them, stop them, or crush them at any speed or strength level he sees fit. Picture a NASA rocket in space and you have what Enma can freely do, somewhat. Although, with his hands restricted, he is unable to manipulate accurately, and will end up throwing something opposite of his desired direction, for example. ( enma in hdwm )
Gravita della Terra: Enma is able to create spheres with gravity equal to that of a star, pulling anything close in its proximity. The gravity can be use to change the trajectories of an enemy, an ally attack, or it can be used to immobilize enemies.
Gravity Spheres: Enma creates smaller gravity spheres, using its own gravity to surround itself in earth, whereupon Enma can direct it to smash into his enemy.
Super Gravita Black Hole: By increasing the gravity of his gravity sphere, Enma can cause them to collapse in on themselves and create a black hole. These produce much more gravity than the aforementioned spheres.
Gravity Coating: the flames of the earth coat the user's bones, creating a reinforced, powerful skeleton. Fractured bones can be wrapped tightly by the flames and bound back together.
PERSONALITY:
Enma is the kind of person to- well, firstly, carry a lot of heavy things on his shoulders, metaphorically speaking. As the Tenth Boss of the Simon Family, Enma endured what came along with that name for years until he had to take the reigns, and for quite some time-- all the beatings, insults, persecution, threats and even deaths in the family. It's a burden that the Simon family underwent, and in turn, what Enma carries with him; and for nearly his entire life, he took it silently. He dislikes the mafia for most of this, and for a hefty portion of his life, specifically, the Vongola family- for being a kettle filled with corruption and people hungry for power, willing to step over everyone and anyone to get to authority- or, what he was led to believe.
On a day to day basis, Enma is a very quiet person, giving off a shy, gloomy, even described as "depressing" demeanor; when he speaks, mostly to strangers, it's as little as possible- either that, or he just doesn't respond verbally at all, avoiding eye contact or at best, simply ( and awkwardly ) walking away. Thanks to the way he carries himself, Enma is a regular and perfect target for bullies, usually leaving him bruised and bandaged up twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, appearing with a new bruise, bloody nose, or black eye pretty much daily. He doesn't fight back in those situations, and either stays quiet or flees when he's able.
Despite seemingly and usually being an easy target to mop the floor with, Enma, when he so wants to, is a weapon of literal gravity-defying mass destruction. When bullies are involved, or anything similar, Enma doesn't hold his arms up and fights back- on the contrary, he really dislikes futile fighting and war, because not only is it pointless, but he's seen up front and personal what it's capable of doing to people. Still, there are other factors that make him change his mind and gets him into the ring: the first is what he considers family and friends. These two things are extremely precious to him like any other shonen loser; simply put, it's all he's ever had and has, and he's willing to put his life down if it means theirs would continue. The second is anger. His anger is something that bottles, and we all know what happens when a bottle reaches its limit- it bursts. When Daemon Spade disguised as Julie tricks him into believing that it was Tsuna's father that killed his family, Enma goes berserk- to the point where he ignores vital rules and suddenly engages him, attacking him with full intention to kill.
As you can imagine, Enma also has darker side hiding behind his gloomy wall; one that's filled with rage, as we see unfolds after the letter misunderstanding between him and Tsuna. He's tortured inside, holding an immense grudge towards the Vongola family, the ones responsible for his mafia family's terrible dirt treatment for years, decades, and the death of his biological family; younger sister, father, and mother, which we see only fuels the rage he has, pushing him to hysterical tears and nearly killing Tsuna, as the misunderstanding between them deepens. It's safe to say that Enma is the type of person to suffer things silently, yes- but if something deeply hurts him, he'll never forget it. Depending on just what was done, he'll take his grudge to the grave- and he'll want to take the grudge-causer with him. When angered, Enma speaks way more than he usually does. His tone grows serious, it could get cruel, cold- and Enma can even begin to come off as cynical and arrogant. When he takes on the Vongola Guardians and Tsuna alone during the Inheritance Ceremony, he doesn't hesitate to literally crush them all into craters, leaving them beaten and badly injured.
Anger and suffering aside, and ironically enough, Enma happens to be an extremely unlucky individual. If the bullies don't hurt him, dogs that steal his food will. If it's not the dogs- it's sadly, himself; tripping on his own feet, falling down the stairs, accidentally stabbing himself with a needle while sewing, sewing his pants legs together by accident and falling into a river . . . and a lot more, surely. He's also even an academic failure, as much as Tsuna is! He's clumsy, a mafia boss with little to no respect in the beginning, a loser-- he's pretty much in the same category, if not worse, thanTsuna. While he fails at many daily life things- it doesn't make him completely stupid! Like his ancestor, Simon Cozart, Enma is able to create fairly smooth plans and exercise them well, such as his plan to "test" Tsuna, or the raid of the Vongola's Inheritance Ceremony. When the going gets tough, Enma seems to mold into a completely different person, accident-free and battle-ready, but first, he needs to have the dying will to do it.
Putting it bluntly, Enma isn't really used to positive social interactions- only with a select few people, perhaps, but even then he finds himself getting talked down by his own family members from time to time, despite his title of leadership. When people start getting hostile, it's something he's used to, something he's lived with nearly his whole life. So, he takes it. It's easier to deal with. Now, if someone actually gives him kindness, treats him well for no real reason, he gets taken off his usual loop of behavior- as he barely knows how to react to kindness. It leaves him unsure and doubtful- It's hard to earn his trust, as it's easily breakable, but if earned, Enma is pretty quick to open up just a bit more, just as he is with Tsuna in future chapters.
He may enjoy the company of a cat more than a person, or at least, tries to tell himself that- in reality Enma has a kind heart under a rather thick, bruised barrier, and is rather frightened with the idea of being alone in the world. He doesn't want to be alone, and while he runs, or shies away at first, it's something done on instinct. Probably, it's the mafia status that intimidates him with the idea of getting close to people. The mafia hurts people. It's hurt him, and it could hurt them, too. At this point, he thinks like a boss- leave civilians out, but that doesn't mean he still isn't a fifteen year old boy. He wants to have friends. He wants to go hang out with a few guys and grab an ice cream and chill or something. He wants to be invited to things- He's really is just a boy that cares more for the people he could call friends and family than anything, and if he could get a chance to feel that- well, maybe he won't reject the possibility.
